The Museum is in Ryder's Wynd - just a minute from Richmond Market Place.

Richmond is just a few miles from Scotch Corner on the A1; it is an attractive Georgian town, with a magnificent Norman castle, perched high above the rushing River Swale. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops. The town has plenty of on-street parking - parking discs are available free from most shops - and there are several pay-and-display car-parks; there is no on-site parking at the Museum itself.

Buses run approximately every 20 minutes from Darlington Railway Station, on the East Coast Main Line; to see bus timetables, click on a bus-stop symbol, and then on the link inside it.
